1. Understand the Role and Its Context

- Research the RAISE project (Recovery and Advancement of Informal Sector Employment) – its objectives, funding partners (World Bank, PKSF), target beneficiaries, and recent activities in Bangladesh.
- Familiarize yourself with VERC’s history, mission, and current programmes. Review any publicly available annual reports, project briefs, and news articles.
- Study the relevant national frameworks: Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) standards, National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) policies, and the country’s apprenticeship legislation.

2. Match Your Experience to the Mandatory Criteria

| Personal attributes | Self‑motivated, adaptable, team player, passion for social development, willingness to travel frequently, compliance with child‑protection, gender, PSEA policies. | Prepare short anecdotes for each attribute – e.g., a time you adapted to a remote field assignment, or how you ensured child‑protection safeguards in a past project. |

- Submission Deadline:
- Ensure the envelope reaches VERC no later than 13 December 2025. Consider using a courier service with tracking to avoid delays.

4. Prepare for the Walk‑In/Interview Process
- Research the Interview Format:
- VERC may conduct a short written test (case study on placement tracking) followed by a competency interview.
- Expect questions on: project management cycles, TVET curriculum alignment, stakeholder engagement strategies, monitoring & evaluation indicators, and handling ethical dilemmas (e.g., child protection).

- Potential Interview Questions & Suggested Answers:
1. *Describe a successful apprenticeship program you managed. What were the key success factors?*

2. *How would you assist a trainee who is hesitant to pursue self‑employment?*
- Discuss counselling steps, entrepreneurship training modules, market analysis assistance, linkage to micro‑finance, and confidence‑building activities.
3. *Explain how you would monitor and report on placement outcomes.*
- Mention data collection tools (Excel tracker, mobile survey), indicators (placement rate, retention, job satisfaction), reporting schedule, and success‑story documentation.
4. *Give an example of how you ensured compliance with Child Protection or PSEA policies in a past project.*
- Cite training sessions conducted, safeguarding protocols implemented, incident reporting mechanisms, and any audits passed.

- Practical Demonstrations:
- Be ready to draft a short CV or a mock interview feedback within 10‑15 minutes. Practice polishing a trainee’s CV and delivering concise interview tips.

- Professional Appearance:
- Wear business‑formal attire (light coloured shirt, dark trousers or skirt, modest accessories). Carry a notebook, pen, and extra copies of your resume.

- Travel & Field Awareness:
- Since the role involves frequent field visits, demonstrate familiarity with Savar’s geography and the surrounding project districts. Highlight any prior field experience, focusing on logistical planning and stakeholder liaison in remote locations.

5. Showcase Commitment to VERC Policies
- Review VERC’s Child Protection Policy, PSEA Policy, Gender Policy, and Code of Conduct (available on their website or upon request).
- Prepare a short statement on how you have applied or will apply these policies in daily work.

6. Follow‑Up After Submission
- If you mailed the application, wait 3‑4 business days, then call the VERC office (use the phone number listed on the envelope) to confirm receipt.
- Keep a copy of the tracking number and a scanned PDF of the entire packet for your records.

7. Optional: Prepare a “Portfolio” (Digital)
