1. UNDERSTAND THE ROLE
• The job combines laboratory work (sample handling, equipment calibration, data analysis, reporting) with phlebotomy duties (drawing blood at the centre and at patient homes).
• You will also act as a safeguarding champion, ensuring safety, reporting any incidents and promoting a respectful work environment.
• The work environment follows strict health‑safety and quality standards; cleanliness and aseptic techniques are essential.

2. VERIFY ELIGIBILITY
• Diploma in Medical Technology with minimum CGPA 2.50 (or 2nd division) from a recognized institution.
• Age between 22 and 40 years.
• At least 2 years of experience, preferably in healthcare, lifestyle‑product or healthcare‑startup settings.
• Genuine certificates – any falsified document will lead to immediate disqualification.

3. DOCUMENT PREPARATION
a) Academic certificates
– Original and photocopy of Diploma in Medical Technology.
– Transcript showing CGPA/grade.
b) Professional certificates
– Phlebotomy certification (if any).
– Laboratory safety or quality‑assurance training certificates.
c) Work experience documents
– Updated CV with clear job titles, responsibilities and dates.
– Service letters from previous employers confirming duration and nature of work.
– Any performance appraisal or recommendation letters.
d) Identification

e) Additional documents for safeguarding role
– Any training or workshop certificates on child protection, gender‑based violence, or workplace safety.
f) Prepare a clean hard‑copy portfolio (A4 size) arranged in the order: cover page, CV, certificates, experience letters, ID copy, photo.

4. REHEARSE TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Sample collection – review protocols for venous blood draw, capillary sampling, and proper tube selection.
• Instrument calibration – practice daily checks for hematology analyzers, centrifuges, spectrophotometers and ensure you can document the process.
• Sterility procedures – rehearse disinfection of work surfaces, equipment cleaning, and waste disposal according to WHO/ISO 15189 standards.
• Data handling – refresh on spreadsheet software (Excel) and laboratory information systems (LIS) for entering, tracking and reporting results.
• Report writing – prepare a short mock report summarizing a set of CBC results, including interpretation and reference ranges.
• Phlebotomy communication – draft a clear scripted explanation of the blood‑draw process; practice delivering it with a calm, reassuring tone.

5. SAFEGUARDING & ETHICS KNOWLEDGE
• Study BRAC’s safeguarding policy – focus on definitions of abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation.
• Understand the reporting procedure: who to inform, documentation required, timelines.
• Be ready to give examples of how you have maintained a safe environment or how you would handle a potential incident.
• Familiarize yourself with the concepts of human dignity, inclusion and equal‑opportunity employment, as highlighted in the company’s statement.

6. INTERVIEW PREPARATION

7. PRACTICAL LOGISTICS
• Confirm interview location (Dhaka or Noakhali) and plan transport accordingly; allow extra time for traffic.
• Dress code: professional business attire, clean shoes, minimal jewelry (important for lab safety).
• Bring the hard‑copy portfolio, a pen, and a notebook for taking notes.
• If the interview includes a skills demonstration, bring any personal protective equipment you are comfortable using (gloves, lab coat) and be ready to don them.

8. POST‑INTERVIEW FOLLOW‑UP
– Send a polite thank‑you email within 24 hours, mentioning a specific point discussed and reiterating your enthusiasm for contributing to both the laboratory and safeguarding missions.
– If any additional documents were requested (e.g., verification of certificates), attach them promptly.

9. CONTINGENCY PLANNING
• If you are selected, be prepared to undergo a medical fitness test and a background check, as required for positions involving patient contact.
• Review the employee benefits (health & life insurance, festival bonuses, provident fund, gratuity) so you can discuss any queries regarding them during the offer stage.

10. FINAL CHECKLIST BEFORE APPLICATION SUBMISSION (if a written application is needed)
– CV tailored to highlight laboratory, phlebotomy, and safeguarding experience.
– Cover letter addressing the job description points and demonstrating alignment with BRAC’s social‑enterprise values.
– All scanned copies of certificates (clear, legible).
– Ensure the email address or submission portal is correct; double‑check spelling of “BRAC Enterprises”.

By following these steps you will present yourself as a qualified, safety‑conscious and socially‑responsible candidate ready to excel as a Medical Technologist, Pathology/Phlebo at BRAC Healthcare Ltd. Good luck!
