The Program Associate role at RTM International involves supporting the Senior Project Manager with administrative tasks, documentation, and coordination across projects in Cox’s Bazar. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills in both Bangla and English, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic NGO environment. Success in this role means ensuring smooth project operations while maintaining professionalism and adherence to donor and government guidelines.
• Proficiency in drafting formal documents in both Bangla and English, including letters, reports, and meeting notes
• Strong organizational skills to manage deadlines, track project progress, and maintain accurate records
• Ability to coordinate with donors, government agencies, and partner organizations effectively
• Experience in donor-funded projects or work with government stakeholders, especially in development or refugee-related contexts
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for data management and reporting
• Commitment to humanitarian values, including respect for Rohingya refugees and adherence to PSEA principles
Candidates should highlight experience in administrative or program support roles, particularly in NGOs or development projects. Emphasize local experience in Cox’s Bazar or similar areas, as well as any involvement with UN agencies or government programs. Demonstrating knowledge of donor reporting standards and field operations will strengthen applications. For education, present a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Public Health, or a related field, and mention any Master’s degree as an added advantage.
• Use recent academic certificates and transcripts to showcase qualifications
• Include relevant coursework or projects related to program management or administrative support
• Highlight certifications in project management, data analysis, or NGO-specific training if applicable
• Clearly state compliance with PSEA policies and any prior experience in safeguarding practices
Practical software knowledge should reflect real-world use, such as creating tracking spreadsheets for project indicators, formatting reports for donors, or scheduling meetings using Outlook. Avoid vague claims; instead, provide examples like managing a database of field activities or preparing quarterly progress summaries.
1. Research RTM International’s mission and projects to align your answers with their goals
2. Prepare examples of past administrative tasks, such as drafting meeting minutes or coordinating donor communications
3. Practice explaining how you handle confidentiality, deadlines, and team collaboration
4. Be ready to discuss your understanding of PSEA policies and how you’d apply them in the field
5. Use clear, concise language during interviews and avoid jargon unless it’s commonly used in the sector
Ensure all documents are neatly organized and include your job circular number in the email subject line. Submit a CV with recent photos, NID copies, academic certificates, and contact details by the deadline. For field readiness, maintain a professional attitude, respect local customs, and demonstrate adaptability to challenging environments. Employers value candidates who show initiative, reliability, and a genuine commitment to the organization’s mission.
