The role of a Consultant, Medicine at Partners in Health and Development (PHD) involves delivering critical health services in remote upazilas of Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar. You will lead clinical operations, manage patient care, and support public health initiatives under the World Bank-funded ISO project. This position requires a strong foundation in internal medicine, emergency care, and collaboration with local authorities, NGOs, and international partners to ensure quality healthcare for host communities and displaced Rohingya populations.
• Proficiency in managing acute and chronic medical cases, especially in resource-limited settings
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in challenging environments
• Strong clinical judgment for diagnosing and treating patients across maternal, neonatal, and pediatric care
• Experience in mentoring junior healthcare professionals and maintaining high standards of patient safety
• Familiarity with donor reporting frameworks and compliance with ESS (Ethical Standards and Safeguards) protocols
• Willingness to adapt to field conditions, including round-the-clock shifts and irregular schedules
Candidates should highlight experience in public health facilities, particularly those aligned with World Bank-supported programs. Emphasis on work with NGOs, INGOs, or government health systems in Bangladesh will strengthen your profile.
